Happy Birthday To Me
I celebrated my 35th birthday this past weekend. It was a pretty low key birthday but it was good. Started the birthday celebration by going to happy hour/dinner with some friends on Thursday night. We went to a restaurant called Silo and it was delicious. I learned that I am a fan of goat cheese. Friday night Chris and I went to the Plaza Art Fair. This is a yearly festival that always fall on my birthday weekend. The streets are blocked off and there are booths lined up for several blocks. Some of the art is a little pricey but I really enjoy walking around and seeing it all. Some of the restaurants on the plaza have booths set up so you can eat and drink while youre there too. Saturday night we went to a food truck festival but it got cut short by a storm that came rolling in. I was a little disappointed because I was wanting a funnel cake but didn’t get the chance to get one. I did get some lobster bisque before it started raining and it was fantastic.
Sunday was the day of my birthday. Started the day off by getting breakfast at one of my favorite places, Opera House. Their coffee and waffles are always so good. Spent the afternoon just hanging out at home but then I had something exciting happen to me. I got my very first sale on Etsy. I was beyond excited! I was starting to give up hope that I would ever get a sale. It was a feeling of accomplishment. That night I went to dinner with my family and then we came back to my house for cake. Finished off the night by watching the Chiefs win their game.
Here are my birthday outfits from this past weekend. It was pretty warm until Sunday and then it went it to full blown fall weather. And yes, I wore the same pair of pants two days in a row because they’re my favorite jeans.
